I am a qualified and experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor and mentor in private practice, offering one-to-one online and telephone counselling for adults, and mentoring for counselling trainees. I am also a group facilitator offering a popular programme of online and in-person workshops focusing on the significance of race, culture and heritage in therapeutic and other professional helping settings.
Specialising in working with transcultural issues through a person-centred lens, my approach is relational, person-centred, growth mindset, racial justice allied and social justice allied.
Counselling sessions are offered online and by telephone. We will focus on your specific needs, whether you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, loneliness, low self-esteem, race or transcultural issues – such as racial and cultural identity, discrimination or racial trauma. You may be going through a significant life change, relating to study, work and career, relationships, parenting, disability, ill-health, retirement or loss. Or perhaps you are experiencing a block to creativity, productivity, or communication.
My workshops are interactive and experiential, suitable for counselling practitioners, counselling service providers, counselling trainees and training institutions, other helping professionals, educational establishments and businesses. From introductory training to individual and group process, I aim to offer a safe, enabling space, where participants can explore the impact of race and culture on well-being within the context of their work, training or supervision.
